Meet Our Team
John Fowler
John Fowler, Founder and CEO of Amazing Grass, has vast experience in sales and management within the agricultural and turf industries. He was previously Vice President of Sales for US Turf Markets at Anuvia Plant Nutrients, and has spent 10 years as Regional Manager for the NE Region at Agrium Advanced Technologies. He also worked with Syngenta Crop Protection in both agricultural and turf markets.
John holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Delaware, where his father was Director of Cooperative Extension. He lives in Bel Air with his wife Carrie. Their five children are scattered along the East Coast.
Mark Frey
Mark is the Co-Founder and operations leader for Amazing Grass. He owns and has been operating Old Line Landscaping since 1987, maintaining business relationships with many long-term customers.
Mark has lived in Harford County his entire life and has a broad network of connections in the area. He lives in Fallston with his wife Mary, while their three children live on the East Coast.
Phil Wagaman
Phil has been a fun-loving, seasoned professional in lawn care since August 2000. He loves the outdoors! When he's not working with Amazing Grass, you can find him camping, hunting, or fishing.
Scott Canavan
Scott Canavan joined Amazing Grass in 2025 as the Sales and Client Services Manager. He has extensive operational management experience focused on exceeding customer expectations.
Scott lives in Harford County, MD, with his wife and four children. He enjoys fishing, riding his motorcycle, and cooking. Scott is passionate about meeting new people and supporting local businesses.
Chris Blair
Chris Blair joined Amazing Grass in 2022 and has been in the lawn care industry since 2011. Previously, he worked in catering. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exploring history and science, and collecting random statistics. For fun, he likes outings with family and friends, visiting antique shops, and supporting the Ravens, Orioles, and bowling.
